The players will have full-scale interaction with the NASA Lander and Rover during this outbound learning experience about the history and geography of the red planet.
The concept of the game is to repair the equipment, Lander, and Rover on Mars’ surface, surrounded by the realistic landscape, as it uses the actual data collected by NASA, including terrains and height map of the planet’s surface.
The actual model of the Mars Rover sent to Mars was used in the game, and therefore the Rover is super realistic.
The gameplay missions included are; • Repairing the Viking 2 Lander by attaching the fallen components using a portable welder. • Drive the Pathfinder to a safer location away from the sandstorm and bring it back to the base station. • Restore the power and functionality of the Opportunity’s solar panels. • Revitalize the Curiosity Rover. The rover is as big as a compact sized car but has the least number of repairs to be done among all Rovers.
Listen to the history, features and more information about each Rover along with in depth details of Mars and its moons, supplied by NASA.
