SOULCALIBUR III features the Chronicles of the Sword mode that fuses real-time simulation with versus fighting-style action. Additionally, in Tales of Souls mode, enjoy deep, character-specific narratives alongside immersive cutscenes. In Soul Arena, choose between Quick Play for relentless battles against CPU opponents and Mission mode for fights set under special conditions. The game also features Custom Character Creation (Create-A-Soul) to freely edit over twenty elements to create your own original character. Take on the challenge with a total of 42 characters: 18 default characters and 24 hidden characters. Chosen by history, a man becomes a warrior. Engraved into history, a warrior becomes a hero. This title has been converted from the PlayStation®2 version to the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®5 consoles and provides newly added features. Consequently, there may be times where the title plays differently from the PlayStation®2 version, or where some features may cause the title to not function properly. This version does not support the PlayStation®2 console’s peripherals, therefore some functionality may not be available.
